“Let’s Talk Cancer” is the brainchild of Kim Cirucci and Denise Ciliberti Sosalski, two Italian gals from South Philly who are on a mission to spread hope, cheer, and pertinent information to cancer patients and their supports. Kim was diagnosed with a rare cancer in 2010, has been through surgery, chemo, and radiation. She’s been in remission and is back in the battle. But she’s never let cancer bring her down. She’s a fighter. Denise is a childhood friend who is helping Kim get her positive message out ad infinitum, which is why they started their radio show—just two regular women lovingly talking straight about the most devastating disease of our time. We are fortunate to have Kim and Denise introduce “Let’s Talk Cancer” to the Cucina Chatter audience.

Kim and Denise grew up with our very own culinary tour guide, Chef Jacquie of Taste4Travel. Knowing her friends would be featured on this week’s show, Jacquie is whipping up some yummy, anti-oxidant-filled veggies.
Penn State has been prominent in the news since the Jerry Sandusky scandal broke in early November. With the passing of Joe Pa, the university and the scandal dominate news headlines again. Both Jim Vanore and Rhonda Fink Whitman, Cucina Chatter regulars, weigh in on the Paterno connection. You’ll find their opposing views thought provoking.
We’ll check in with the program director and morning man at KBMW, Cucina Chatter’s newest affiliate on 1450AM, Wahpeton, ND.
In the Upstairs Kitchen Chef Dom Condo is making Rosotto—so yummy! Dom makes it sound easy and you can follow all his recipes at his website.
I hope to see you at Popi’s on the 19th!
Ciao!
