Peacon Balls

Our family’s version of

Pfeffernüsse

1 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
2 cups flour
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
Powdered Sugar

Mix the butter, sugar, vanilla, and salt.  Then add the pecans and the flour and mix until texture is blended enough to form into balls.  Roll into even balls and place on cookie sheet.  Bake at 350 for about 8minutes or until batter appears whiter.  These cookies are fragile when they first come out of the oven but that is exactly when they need to be rolled in powdered sugar. Have a wide bowl filled with powdered sugar ready and carefully roll each baked cookie in it.  Then set the cookies aside to cool.
