Like anything in life, predicting the outcome of Super Bowl Sunday requires knowledge and instinct. So here’s my spread:
Start the buffet with a load of fresh cooked vegetables—some broccoli rabe with wedges of Italian bread, brushcetta, stuffed artichokes, roasted peppers, sharp cheese, a variety of olives, a Caesar salad, and a mixed field green salad.
Fill a tureen with your favorite soup.
Instead of processed deli meats, let’s go for the real McCoy. Slice a grilled London broil, fresh ham, or a turkey. And serve it with a side of rice or roasted potatoes.

For desert, we have to have a sweet table. So, make sure it’s loaded with fresh fruit or a giant fruit salad. Have some cool whip for dipping and maybe a few favorites like cheese cake, apple pie, or lemon meringue, but I’m definitely thinking keep it fruity.
As for the game, well in addition to knowledge and instinct, style is important. Since both teams don red, white, and blue, I’m forced to pick a winner based on helmet colors.
Silver beats navy!
Come on, what do you expect from a Philly gal?
Go Patriots!
